Smart Turn Auto Repair is expanding its team at our cutting-edge auto repair center in Columbia, MD. Join us in our newly renovated, 5630 sq ft facility equipped with a talented team, and state-of-the-art equipment and technology. Schedule

Initial Work Schedule (4-day work week):

• Monday and Tuesday: 7:15 AM – 7:15 PM
• Wednesday and Thursday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Future Work Schedule (when Sunday operations begin, date TBD):

• Monday and Tuesday: 7:15 AM – 7:15 PM
• Wednesday: 7:15 AM – 5:15 PM  Sunday: 6-hour shift (hours TBD)

Shop Hours (Opening soon on Sundays with Hours TBD):



• Monday–Friday: 7:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  

What You’ll Do

As a Service Advisor, you’ll manage the end-to-end customer experience and ensure efficient, accurate service delivery:

• Create repair orders and detailed quotes using computerized systems.

• Source and order automotive parts independently (we don’t have a parts department).

• Offer the best repair solutions for our guests’ vehicles, ensuring the information is easy to understand and tailored to their needs.

• Consistently sell our services while maintaining honesty and integrity, ensuring customers always feel confident in their decisions.



• Foster a supportive, upbeat environment that encourages teamwork and a positive atmosphere at all times. 
  

What We're Offering

Compensation:

• Full-Time hourly base pay: $30 ($62,400/year)

• Generous tiered commission structure: Significant earning potential based on performance and results.

What You'll Bring

We’re looking for someone who’s:

• Experienced: 2+ years as an Automotive Service Advisor or Dealership Parts Advisor (with strong skills in sourcing parts and estimating labor times), Automotive Technician, or Automotive Claims Adjuster.

• Customer-Focused: A motivated, energetic team player who excels in communication and relationship-building.

• Skilled: Proficient with automotive repair techniques, computer systems, and problem solving.

• Willing to Learn: Open to expanding knowledge and staying current with industry trends, while embracing new challenges and opportunities for growth.



• Engaged & Motivated: A proactive and dedicated individual who takes initiative, stays focused, and is passionate about contributing to a team-oriented, fast-paced environment. 

The ideal candidate will be a motivated, energetic and customer-focused team player with:

• a thorough understanding of automotive techniques related to repair and servicing of vehicles
• ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with staff, customers, vendors, and public
• at least 18 years age and a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
• authorization to work in the United States
• an interest in continuous learning and improvement
• willingness to learn new and innovative automotive technologies
• the ability to work as part of a team to solve problems when appropriate
• excellent verbal and written communication skills
• the ability to successfully complete and pass a background check
• excellent attention to detail
• integrity and a good work ethic
• ability to reliably commute to Columbia, MD 21045 before starting work

Additional consideration will be given to candidates with any of the following:

• successful completion of a formal technical training program
• current ASE certifications
• bilingual communication skills
• experience with ALLDATA and Tekmetric software
• high-level automotive technician experience
• weekend and/or evening availability

Physical Demands

This job regularly entails:

• Standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods
• Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds
• Frequent use of a computer or electronic device
• frequent data entry and data lookup on a computer or electronic hand-held device
• frequent reading of small print
• frequent talking and hearing
